Taproot Theater works to bounce back from fire
Submitted by Jon Repp on Monday, November 2nd, 12:40pm
The smell of smoke is still thick inside the Taproot Theatre -- just one remnant from last month's fire that gutted four other businesses. Artistic director Scott Nolte says severe water and smoke damage means they've had to rip away sheetrock and begin a complete renovation.
They hope to reopen in time for the start of their 2010 season in January. Until then, he wonders why an arsonist would target this block of small businesses in the first place.
